"Corvette racecar driver John Heinricy recommends that a life-extending lubricant be applied to the door, hood, hatch and trunk seals. “The door and hatch seals are the most susceptible to deterioration,” he says. “This usually occurs after 10 to 20 years.” Ideally, engine oil and windshield washer fluid levels should be checked at every fuel fill, but instrument cluster lights are also a good indicator that fluids are low and need to be filled. On the 1-year anniversary of the milestone Nurburgring lap in the CTS-V, John and the CTS-V made more news. This time it wasn’t in Germany. It was in Shanhai, China. The Shanghai Formula 1 Circuit, to be exact. John and the CTS-V set the production sedan record at the Shanhai F1 course, with a lap of 2:32.80. Saturday was proclaimed “V-Day” by Cadillac in China, with a bunch of activities celebrating the car’s arrival in China and the overall tech statement the car makes.
